Bi-Courtney’s CEO tasks staff on safety and efficiency
The Chief Executive Officer, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operator of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2), Capt. Jari Williams, held his maiden town hall meeting with staff, at the Waziri Conference Hall of the terminal, on Friday, June 17.
Williams, who has over three decades experience in the aviation industry, commended the staff for the company’s excellent achievements in becoming the country’s number one airport terminal within the first 10 years of its existence.
The CEO urged staff to make safety, security and efficiency their watchwords, while stressing that the three questions they should constantly ask themselves are: “Is it safe, is it secure and is it efficient?”
He also noted: “Running an organisation requires teamwork and self-discipline. Airport people are expected to aspire to a higher level of excellence, due to peculiarity of their operating environment. It is equally important for us to understand our duties and be willing to work out-of-the-box. Aviation requires people that are highly qualified, enthusiastic and professional. We must demonstrate accountability and integrity. And in everything we do, we must remember that safety is paramount.”
Other speakers at the forum include, the Chief Operations Officer, Ms. Adebisi Awoniyi and the Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Olushola Olayinka, who both urged staff to offer the new CEO total support and cooperation.
